Overview
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative functions of the company. This includes strategic planning, financial compliance, reporting, risk management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals
- Perform financial modeling and analysis
- Create and manage budgets and forecasts
- Monitor financial performance against targets
- Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Manage internal controls and coordinate audits
- Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
Cash Management & Investments
- Manage cash flow and liquidity
- Implement investment strategies
- Maintain banking relationships
- Assist in capital and debt sourcing through closing
Strategic Partnership & Advice
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to ownership and senior leadership
- Support strategic decision-making with financial data
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance and accounting team (including external parties)
- Set expectations and provide training
- Foster a high-performing and collaborative environment
- Identify and address financial and operational risks
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage and contract compliance
- Safeguard organizational assets
