About Our Client
Addison Group is partnering with our client, a mid-sized law firm in Manhattan, to identify a skilled Legal Secretary / Administrative Assistant. This role will provide direct support to attorneys while maintaining a professional and organized work environment.
Job Description
The Legal Secretary / Administrative Assistant will support a partner and two associates by handling day-to-day administrative functions, managing schedules, and assisting with case-related tasks. The position requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to a partner and two associates, including calendar and email management
- Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements
- Prepare, edit, and format legal documents as needed
- Enter attorney hours into timekeeping systems
- Assist with special projects and general office tasks as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of legal administrative support experience (corporate law preferred)
- Wire Transferring experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with 3E Essentials and Viewpoint a plus
- Must be a notary or willing to obtain certification (fees covered by client)
- Spanish fluency
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive, professional demeanor
Additional Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch | 35-hour work week)
- Schedule: 4 days on-site, 1 day remote (potential for full on-site in future)
- Eligible for overtime, though uncommon
- Team: Supports 1 partner + 2 associates
