JC-492737 - Native American Cultural Studies Coordinator. Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialist) class with salary range $7,556.00 - $10,221.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable.

Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Cultural Studies Office Chief, the coordinator is an interdisciplinary team member who must establish and maintain professional working relationships with California’s Native American tribes, internal project delivery partners, regulatory agencies, local partners and other stakeholders involved with Caltrans projects. The incumbent must be solution oriented and explore innovative solutions to meet deliverables.
Prepare technical reports and written/verbal correspondence; may perform site visits (including remote areas) which may require driving a state or personal vehicle on public roadways or uneven terrain. Apply scientific methods to analyze data on environmental effects of transportation projects; prepare and review CEQA/NEPA and other technical documents to determine effects; implement mitigation strategies to lessen project impacts. May have lead responsibility for a specific project, program function, or area of expertise; may mentor lower level staff; may act as a consultant to other staff, management and agencies.
Minimum Requirements

Salary: $7,556.00 - $10,221.00 per month

Additional Information
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating State-owned or leased vehicles. Minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview/appointment.
