Overview

Reynolds is seeking adjunct instructors to teach American Sign Language on campus. This is a part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment. Salary is commensurate with the experience of the applicant, in graduate education in the field, related full-time occupational employment, and full-time equivalent teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach American Sign Language on campus as part of the college’s adjunct faculty.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's / Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in American Sign Language (ASL) or a related field, or a Master’s degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in ASL.

Additional Considerations

• Minimum of two years full-time ASL&IE post-secondary teaching experience (or equivalent).
• Proven ability to routinely incorporate technology into instruction and faculty responsibilities.
• Proficient in using Canvas (LMS) for online course development and teaching.
• Documented training and experience teaching via Zoom.
• Documented training in online instructional pedagogy.
• Native or native-like ASL fluency (e.g., SLPI: ASL Advanced Plus or Superior; ASLPI 4 or higher).
• Valid ASLTA Certification.
• Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with multicultural populations, supporting diversity, cultural understanding, and inclusion.
• Skilled in using a personal computer and current Microsoft Office programs.
