American Politics, Senior Rank Faculty Position in Political Science The Department of Political Science at Stanford University seeks applicants for a senior appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The preferred area of specialty is American Politics. Applicants must have demonstrated the ability to maintain a world-class research program and a commitment to effective teaching and mentoring. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in a related field and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The term of appointment is expected to begin on September 1, 2026. Candidates should apply through Stanford Faculty Positions and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae (including a publication list), teaching and research statement (no more than three single-spaced pages), and teaching evaluations.

Salary and Application Details
Salary range for academic year 2025-26: Associate Professor: $180,250 – $226,600; Professor: $257,500 – $360,500.
