Must have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, a related field, or an equivalent qualification. Relevant cyber technical certifications and management credentials will also be considered.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience with engineering and/or military projects.
  • Proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler and modeling languages like SysML.
  • Experience in embedded system engineering within the Cyber domain.
  • Knowledge of Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA).
  • Familiarity with Cyber Tabletop Exercise (CTTX) drills.
  • Compliance with federal regulations and standards, including NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and other requisite documentation.
  • Leadership experience in technical development projects is preferred.
  • Background in military vehicle development and integration is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in interpreting higher-level customer requirements and translating them into technology specifications.
  • Experience in developing and managing system-level cyber requirements.
  • Familiarity with various electrical line replaceable units and their associated electronic hardware development and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cyber warfare, offensive or defensive, is advantageous.
  • Understanding of embedded systems, particularly in automotive and military contexts.
  • Knowledge of software and computer science principles is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with cyber-physical system security requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% (mostly domestic, some international).
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
  • Comfort climbing on, in, and around military vehicles and ability to pass the ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined spaces).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide authority and accountability for Cyber-related tasks to aid integration of cross-functional technical scope within various constraints.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure the Cyber design is balanced, integrated, and compliant throughout the vehicle system.
  • Manage and support the identification, development, and implementation of best practices, tools, and education for platform cyber-physical design across the engineering organization.
  • Develop and manage system requirements and interface allocations, including oversight of performance, space, weight, power-cooling, reliability, and maintenance specifications, ensuring compliance across the design team.
  • Coordinate requirements, architectures, system designs, and handle changes, conditions, inputs, and final resolutions concerning requirements, trades, and alternatives.
  • Manage, develop, support, and conduct trade studies and structured decisions related to system and subsystem design, considering space, weight, power, cost, reliability, and performance at the system level.
  • Oversee and support the development of verification plans and manage their execution, including testing and production as well as field site shakedown and verification.
  • Participate in and lead design troubleshooting and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes to resolve issues in production, development, testing, or modification projects.
  • Develop and evaluate artifacts related to checkpoints and design milestones, as well as Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), ensuring technical accuracy and contractual compliance.
  • Coordinate with platform Design IPTs where interfaces are necessary, such as threat analysis, interface development, and requirements decomposition.
  • Evaluate new Cyber and C5ISR technologies for potential inclusion in GDLS products and participate in peer reviews.

Company: This position offers a competitive compensation of $70-90 per hour with a 9/80 work schedule and is onsite in Sterling Heights, MI. This role is intended for a qualified candidate capable of meeting the demands of a senior position within our team.
