Entry-Level Geologists - Networking Event with AECOM – Philadelphia. AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Philadelphia on October 9-10, 2025. This is a great opportunity to learn about career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.

Event Details

The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company. On Friday, interviews will take place at our Philadelphia office.

Role and Location

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Geologist to join our Remediation team in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, or Virginia offices. Travel may be required; this is a field-based role comprising approximately 80% field work and 20% office-based work. The position is expected to begin Spring/Summer 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Performing routine fieldwork under supervision, including soil, sediment, surface water and/or groundwater sampling; operation and maintenance of remedial systems; drilling and remedial construction oversight including subcontractor management.
  • Participating in site visits and coordinating field staff as required.
  • Working within budget and schedule under supervision.
  • Developing knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations and job specifications.
  • Collecting and analyzing data under supervision.
  • Preparing progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attending meetings and reporting on project tasks.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS in Geology or related field + 0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.
  • Valid US Driver's License is required; selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience and/or coursework related to environmental remediation.
  • Proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Experience with field and/or construction documentation.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, or Virginia. The selected candidate must be available to work in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, or Virginia on a scheduled basis.

Compensation

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00.
