Overview

Part-Time Accountant (Indianapolis Based) role at The Mom Project. This is an in-office position with flexible hours. The office is located on the Meridian Corridor, far northern Marion County.

Responsibilities

• Review of client provided information for completeness and appropriateness
• Preparation of accurate, defensible tax returns for businesses and individuals
• Primary focus is on Forms 1040, 1065, and 1120 series, possibly a limited number of Trusts & Estates
• Collaboration with our support person and other team members on tax preparation issues and completion

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing a variety of tax returns
• Strong working knowledge of current tax law and accounting principles
• Attention to detail
• Understanding of administrative procedures
• Multi-tasking and efficiency with excellent planning and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to changing workloads and priorities with strong time management
• Team-oriented with a focus on maintaining a positive company culture
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while fulfilling obligations
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PC technology including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
• Experience with professional tax preparation software
• CPA or EA license is a plus but not required

Employment is contingent on a satisfactory background check and a non-disclosure agreement.
