Job Summary

Our Dock & Door Technicians, also known as “Service Professionals,” are the core of our preventative and emergency response services for customers. They troubleshoot complex issues in locations such as commercial buildings, aircraft hangars, schools, fire/police departments, and more. A Service Professional may fix a hospital garage door in one hour and be heading to a large warehouse to repair loading dock equipment the next. This role provides unique exposure to some of the largest operations in North America.

Room for Growth

The role offers four levels of Service Professionals to align with skills and experience: Apprentice Level (Level I), Service Professional Level (Level II), Senior Level (Level III), and Expert Level (Level IV).

  • Apprentice Level (Level I) – ideal for candidates who enjoy learning and training. Mechanically inclined with the ability to fix a variety of products.
  • Service Professional Level (Level II) – for those with at least one year of related experience and basic electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting concepts; strong customer communication in the field.
  • Senior Level (Level III) – basic repairs in AED, Highspeed, or gate fields with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting; typically 4 years of experience.
  • Expert Level (Level IV) – masters of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting with leadership skills and extensive dock leveler and door repair knowledge; at least 8 years of experience.

What You’ll Do

Service Professionals provide hands-on customer care, troubleshoot, service, inspect, install, and repair industrial equipment. They maintain work orders on paper and digitally, operate a vehicle to visit different customer sites, and contribute to safety and OSHA compliance for the company.

What We Look For

Qualified candidates should answer yes to the questions above and have the following skills:

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience; focus is on execution, quality, and impact to Miner customers.
  • Ability to repair industrial facilities, including doors, loading docks, and dock-levelers.
  • Desire to learn welding, steel fabrication, and electrical; hydraulic and pneumatics experience is a plus.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently on the road for hours each day.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills; ability to think through complex situations critically.
  • Technical school training and OEM certifications are desirable but not required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; overtime opportunities available.
  • A clean driving record and a valid Driver’s License for the state of employment are required.
