Leadership & Team Development
• Supervise, train, and develop maintenance personnel across all shifts, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Set clear performance standards; conduct evaluations, coaching, and develop feedback plans.
• Promote teamwork, alignment, and collaboration across departments.
Maintenance Operations
• Lead daily maintenance operations, providing hands-on troubleshooting and repair support for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems, including corrugated and converting machinery.
• Develop and manage a reliability-centered preventive maintenance (PM) program to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Oversee use of CMMS for scheduling, work orders, spare parts, reporting, and data analysis.
• Plan, supervise, and manage outside service providers, ensuring compliance with safety and quality expectations.
• Maintain proper operation of facility systems (boilers, compressed air, water treatment, HVAC, etc.), identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Reliability & Continuous Improvement
• Evaluate, design, and improve manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment layouts for maximum efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with vendors on equipment specifications, purchases, and installation projects.
• Support capital planning (CAPEX) and cost reduction initiatives.
• Apply statistical and analytical methods to forecast manufacturing needs and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Track and analyze maintenance performance metrics and drive corrective actions, where needed.
Safety & Compliance
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including LOTO, PPE, and safety meetings.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, ensure training compliance, and lead by example in promoting safe work practices.
Reporting & Budgeting
• Monitor expenses and control the maintenance budget.
• Provide regular updates to Plant Manager on maintenance activities, KPIs, and issues impacting production.
• Support strategic decision-making with accurate cost estimates, staffing requirements, and project timelines.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or an equivalent discipline).
• 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of proven experience leading teams.
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Reliability-centered maintenance experience preferred.
