Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer oversees the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and systems to determine the manufacturability of new product designs from conceptualization to first production runs. Responsible for coordinating activities for redesigns, updates, and improvements to existing products.

Responsibilities

• Implement design specifications for new and existing products.
• Develop manufacturing programs, processes, and procedures.
• Design safety protocols, layouts, tooling, fixturing, and prototypes.
• Manage manufacturing support departments.
• Support product testing and quality assurance standards.
• Coordinate procurement of raw materials and components.
• Prepare reports regularly.
• Support major projects as directed by senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Process, or Mechanical Engineering (Associate's considered).
• 3-10 years in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing.
• Experience with BOMs, routings, and time/motion studies.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP planning and scheduling.
• Experience with quality assurance programs.
• Experience with sampling and final inspection of products.
• Familiarity with calibration tools and instruments.
