Job Summary

Performs basic cleaning duties and specific custodial functions which includes, removing trash, recycling from office and break room areas. Dusts, cleans restrooms, sweeps floors, operate a floor scrubber, general cleaning / janitorial tasks and other specific requirements of the client’s business segment. Including minor maintenance such as changing filters, belts, changing bulbs, landscaping / snow removal, and escorting vendors. Eyewash inspection, emergency light inspections, and a monthly fire extinguisher inspection to be performed at multiple locations. Must always work in a safe and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Removes all trash, recycling
• Vacuums all carpeted areas in offices
• Operates cleaning equipment such as a floor scrubbing machine
• Cleans breakrooms
• Cleans restrooms
• Manage Vendors when they come on site
• Other maintenance to be performed includes fire extinguisher inspections, bulb changes, filter changes etc.
• Landscape / snow removal
• Safety Compliance, inspecting fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc
• Administrative work

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
• Business Experience: 0 – 3 Year
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions including safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
• Technical Qualifications & Skills: Must be able to operate basic custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors and floor buffing machines.
