The Personnel Services Department is currently recruiting for a Senior HR/Risk Analyst. Incumbents in this classification perform a variety of advanced and complex analytical assignments, which require extensive technical knowledge, initiative, discretion, and judgment. Senior HR/Risk Analysts serve as a professional advisor in the assigned area of responsibility, and participate in the development, administration, and coordination of program strategies.
The current vacancy will focus primarily on coordinating and administering city-wide training. The incumbent will:
- Coordinate, develop, and implement training programs in various areas including mandatory training, supervisory, and managerial professional development;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs and use relevant data to revise or recommend changes;
- Track trainings, administer curriculum, and monitor statistics within the Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS) and other HRIS systems;
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and written materials;
- Provide supervision and guidance to staff in training activities.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws related to city-wide training;
- Ability to develop and present engaging training materials;
- Proficiency in Cornerstone LMS and other city-wide systems;
- Strong report writing skills;
- Ability to complete complex analytical assignments.
Senior HR/Risk Analysts may supervise staff. This is an unclassified position serving at the will of the Department Director.

Job Requirements
Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields and three years of professional personnel experience, or two years as a Human Resources or Risk Analyst with the City of Fresno. Additional experience may substitute for education. Candidates must attach proof of degree or transcripts and hold a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
