We are looking for a Forklift Operator to join our rapidly expanding team. The Forklift Operator contributes to our mission by cleaning and organizing the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks with products and ingredients, and supporting production with the delivery of ingredients and storage of finished product. This position is essential to support the department in maximizing customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Start time: Day 5:30am, Swing 4:00pm

Starting pay is $21.50/hour, plus a $.50 shift differential

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, and local, state and federal requirements
  • Perform tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork
  • Manage day to day inventory levels
  • Maintain Forklift certification
  • Periodic inventories
  • Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend to management remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Timely execution of daily receiving and shipping load board; oversee the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts, quality and complete all required paperwork and transactions associated with this process
  • Stack and arrange product on pallets
  • Complete forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift
  • Replenish stock while maintaining a cleaned and organized warehouse/location daily
  • Move product in warehouse/location as necessary during reallocations of space or taking of inventory
  • Rotate product and arrange according to Julian dates or FIFO (first in first out)
  • Receive and check against receiving documents incoming product, ensuring proper product code, quantity and condition; report any discrepancies to the lead
  • Operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Work in and out of freezers, temperatures average 32 degrees to –10 degrees
  • General support of production
  • Required to wear hairnet, freezer suit, captive boots, earplugs, and gloves provided by the Company

Position Qualifications

  • 1+ year of warehouse experience
  • 1+ year of forklift experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to work in production/warehouse environment with constant exposure to loud machinery
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift certification
