Job Summary:
At GTI Energy, the Welder Fitter plays a critical role in supporting our rapid growth and high-performance manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating, positioning, aligning, and fitting metal components and assemblies using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes. The Welder Fitter will be instrumental in ensuring structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and safety compliance while operating at GTI Speed—our commitment to agility, quality, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret complex blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols with accuracy.
- Measure, cut, and fit materials according to specifications using grinders, torches, saws, and other fabrication tools.
- Weld components using MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux Core processes per job requirements.
- Fit-up and tack weld fabricated parts in preparation for final welding and assembly.
- Conduct inspections and measurements to validate specifications and tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure accuracy and resolve build issues.
- Ensure work meets internal quality standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all GTI Energy safety protocols.
- Flex with production needs, including pivoting to different projects, shifts, or stations as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in welding and fitting in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding; Stick and Flux Core a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Strong attention to detail, spatial reasoning, and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Qualifications:
- AWS Certification(s) or equivalent .
- Experience with heavy industrial manufacturing or energy infrastructure a plus.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement environments

Pay: $21.00
