Overview

IMI is actively seeking a skilled and motivated MIG Welder to join our growing team in Sedalia, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MIG welding, blueprint reading, and the fabrication of ornamental railings and miscellaneous metal structures. This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing fabrication team delivering high-quality metalwork for commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG welding on structural components, including ornamental railing and misc. metals.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to detailed blueprints and project specifications.
• Use hand tools and machinery safely and effectively in a shop environment.
• Interpret and read blueprints to determine material specifications and dimensions.
• Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure compliance with safety and project standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and ensure job efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MIG welding with prior experience in miscellaneous metals and ornamental steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, measuring equipment, and general fabrication tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience operating press brakes and plate shears is a strong plus.
• Basic math skills for layout, measurement, and material calculations.
