Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the District Manager, grow the rental, lease and sales of Red D Arc Specialty Products to include sub-arc systems, positioners, manipulators, turning rolls, orbital and heat treating equipment, blasting products and related welding equipment in our Mid-South Region.
  • Follow up on sales leads, make presentations professionally, prepare quotes, produce conceptual Hard Automation application drawings and expand current Company Hard Automation sales channels.
  • Coach and assist customers in self-performing their own heat treating and orbital welding.
  • Work directly with end user customers and support our field sales team.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to move them from novice to competent self-performers in Orbital welding and Heat Treating.
  • Train RDA field sales teams and Airgas Adv. Fab Specialists to understand capabilities and grow standard & specialized PMT sales.
  • Initiate and grow relationships with all Red-D-Arc Sales Leaders to grow Weld Automation Sales within each Red-D-Arc District.
  • Coordinate and perform onsite setup of equipment and demonstrations.
  • Work as part of a team to provide customer solutions and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings and trade shows.
  • Cold-call and create compilations of potential customers & leads.
  • Maintain accurate & timely reports including business plans and regional forecasts.
  • Travel required 50%.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education equivalent to an Associates degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Greater than five years sales experience in Weld Process Sales.
  • Strong background in all welding processes with special emphasis on automation and SAW.
  • Preference given to applicants with additional qualifications / certifications such as CWI, CWE, CRAW, CWS, NCCER instructor, etc.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems, act decisively and persist in the face of obstacles.
  • Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions.
  • Communicates with clarity, verbally and in writing, in one on one or group situations, over the telephone and via email.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to work as a team in the conception and review stages of a project.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, and creatively solve problems.
  • Must have excellent technical knowledge as well as strong interpersonal and management skills.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a proactive follow-up and follow-through approach, updating supervisors and teams accordingly.
