We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. This role involves working closely with patients to promote oral health, perform assessments, and assist in various dental procedures. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction while adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs.
  • Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Assist in pediatric dentistry by providing care tailored to younger patients.
  • Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe treatment environment.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to enhance overall patient care and clinic efficiency.
  • Stay updated on dental terminology, infection control practices, and medical coding.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
  • Proficient in medical imaging procedures relevant to dental care.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral health.
  • Ability to perform documentation review accurately for medical records.
  • Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, with an emphasis on patient comfort for children.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and care.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control within the practice.
  • Certification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited program is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 32 per week
