Cottage Grove Dental is hiring: Dental Hygienist in Cottage Grove

*Overview*

We are looking for an experienced Dental Hygienist, who is a positive, outgoing, team player. Our small team works together and we all pitch in to help each other out.
We are a busy, small, family friendly office. Looking to add an experienced person to our team. Our office has invested in new technology in office to support the needs of our patients. We have Solea Laser, CEREC (in house crowns) and a 3-D printer. We have a kind, caring Doctor who enjoys his job and teaching and learning.
We work typical Monday though Thursday schedule from 8-5. As well as one Friday a month, which is 8-3.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and providing high-quality care to our patients in a supportive and professional environment.

*Duties*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and evaluating oral health conditions.
* Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to remove plaque and tartar from teeth.
* Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health before, during, and after dental procedures.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
* Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety.
* Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during various procedures efficiently.
* Document patient information accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.
* Stay updated on dental terminology, systems, and best practices to enhance patient care.

*Skills*
* Strong background in patient care with a focus on comfort and safety.
* Proficient in taking vital signs and performing patient assessments.
* Familiarity with dental clinic operations and procedures.
* Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent infection during treatments.
* Understanding of both dental and medical terminology for effective communication with patients and staff.
* Ability to adhere to HIPAA guidelines regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
* Experience with four-handed dentistry practices is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $45.28 - $52.74 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 35 per week
