Our client is a well-established Commercial General Contractor based North of Boston, in Middlesex County specializing in preconstruction, design-build, general contracting, and construction management. The firm is continuing to win new projects along the 495 belt - mainly life science and institutional work, these projects range from $5M-$15M on average. They offer a strong family like atmosphere and room gor growth!

Job Description

Superintendent - Design Build - North Shore will be responsible for:

• Helping lead site team from construction start through project closing
• Ensuring contract scope is understood by the entire site management team
• Conducting preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work.
• Reviewing and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.
• Helping administer a Quality Control Plan.
• Ensuring the work environment is safe.
• Supervising and evaluating assigned personnel and maintain a positive working environment for the entire site team.

The Successful Applicant

Superintendent - Design Build - North Shore should have:

• Extensive knowledge of the commercial construction process with skills in design, finance, and management.
• Ability to produce successful projects that satisfy the client and are profitable for the company.
• Strong interpersonal skills, superior communication skills and ability to motivate personnel working in or for the company.
• General knowledge of the local, state and federal building codes and regulations impacting commercial construction.
• Four-year college degree in engineering or related field and five or more years of experience in the field of commercial construction is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Project, Timberline Estimating and Procore Project Management.
• Valid and clean driver's license is required.
• Valid unrestricted Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License
