Position: Manager - Industrial Products Assurance

RSM is looking for a Manager to join our Industrial Products Assurance team. You will work as part of a team on diverse client engagements within our national and local Industrial Products practice. Our clients include local, national, and internationally recognized manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors across various sectors. RSM is a leader in the industrial products space, helping middle market companies navigate their business challenges.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality client service, including coordinating audits of financial statements, disclosures, and other deliverables.
  2. Assess risk and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams.
  3. Utilize RSM's Audit Methodology effectively.
  4. Manage multiple engagement teams and evaluate staff performance.
  5. Supervise and mentor Senior Associates and Supervisors, ensuring work quality and adherence to schedules.
  6. Maintain ongoing client contact to understand business developments and their impact on audits.
  7. Develop others through training, advising on career development, and participating in firm initiatives.
  8. Stay informed on industry publications and share relevant insights with clients.
  9. Address client concerns proactively and escalate issues when necessary.
  10. Identify opportunities to introduce additional services to clients.
  11. Manage project profitability.
  12. Communicate accounting and auditing issues to senior management.
  13. Identify performance improvement opportunities.
  14. Ensure ongoing professional development and stay updated on GAAP and firm policies.
  15. Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent.
  • CPA or CA certification.
  • 5+ years of recent experience in public accounting.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring staff.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, or IFRS regulations.
  • Proven ability to build profitable client relationships.
  • At least 4 years of team leadership or in-charge experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing multiple engagements concurrently.
  • Fluency in French, German, Japanese, or Mandarin, including cultural understanding.
  • Experience managing relationships with large non-US companies in North America.

Our salary range for this role is $89,800 to $170,500, with potential for discretionary bonuses based on performance.
