The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Responsibilities include balancing duties, managing daily paperwork, and preparing shift reports. The Night Auditor will also attend to guest needs such as check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and answering questions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Proactive thinking to ensure guest security and create a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
  2. Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
  3. Checking the front desk log for issues or special requests.
  4. Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
  5. Processing guest registrations and payments.
  6. Preparing express checkout folios.
  7. Maintaining room status inventory.
  8. Communicating shift information to relevant staff, including the Front Office Manager and General Manager.
  9. Maintaining cleanliness of the lobby and bathroom as needed.
  10. Ensuring a smooth transition between shifts by passing on pertinent information.
  11. Collaborating with hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
  12. Answering inquiries about hotel services, amenities, and local directions.
  13. Completing all shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
  14. Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
