Responsibilities & Expectations
- Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile; use guests\' names whenever possible.
- Contribute to great guest satisfaction scores; handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency.
- Have strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities; support events and groups as needed.
- Understand relevant technology for the role; answer calls with friendly service using the approved greeting.
- Maintain spotless cleanliness and sparkling workspaces in front and back of the house; pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally; demonstrate a can-do attitude and teamwork.
- Follow checklists to 100% accuracy; ensure shift handover reports are accurate and timely.
- Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, wear a nametag, and greet guests with a smile.
Night Auditor - Role Specific Duties & Expectations
- Audit Management: Complete and send all hotel audit-related reports by the designated time on the overnight checklist.
- Security: Follow overnight security measures to ensure a safe environment, including locking exterior entrances at designated times and following safety procedures for late arriving guests.
- Incoming Mail: Receive and note all incoming mail as required per the daily shift checklist.
Success Metrics
- Happy Guests: Management Performance Ratings; Guest Satisfaction Scores/Intent to Return.
- Spotless Cleanliness: GM/AGM spot checks; leadership walk-throughs; guest ratings.
- Product Consistency & Quality: Checklist tracking; management performance; guest ratings.
- Teamwork: Management performance and collaborative atmosphere.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
- Can-do attitude; positive and willing to learn.
- Ability to follow guidelines and procedures; handle pace and pressure well.
- Effective listening, conflict resolution, and clear communication skills.
- Hospitality and guest service orientation.
- Age 18 or older; ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Clock-in/out discipline; adhere to break times and provide adequate notice for call-outs.
Physical Working Demands & Working Environment
The following are representative of the physical requirements and environment:
- Stand or remain stationary for long periods (3-4 hours); type on computers and operate office equipment; perform data entry.
- Lift and transport supplies up to 25 pounds; move throughout the hotel and rooms.
- Read and observe details at close and long range; moderate noise level with active communication among staff.
Language & Reasoning Skills
- Read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
