The role of the Courier is responsible for delivering packages, documents, and other items between locations, providing exceptional service, and prioritizing safety precautions to ensure the parcel(s) are undamaged, and the vehicle is cleaned and adequately fueled, meeting company standards and brand representation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packages and other items from one location to another. Take packages from a sender to a recipient, or deliver packages between different sites as part of the regular duties.
• Operate a vehicle (e.g., car or van) to make deliveries and maintain the vehicle, including regular inspections, servicing, and repairs.
• Navigate delivery routes efficiently using maps, GPS, or other navigational tools; plan routes to minimize delivery times and optimize efficiency.
• Interact with customers in person and over the phone; provide excellent customer service, answer questions, give information about deliveries, and address concerns or complaints.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including pickup and delivery times, delivery addresses, and any issues or delays.
• Operate vehicles safely, comply with traffic laws and regulations, and ensure the security of packages to prevent theft or damage.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Entry Level
• Language Skills: Proficient in English both verbally and written
• Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED
• Licenses/Certificates: Driver's License in state of residency
• Be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
• Sit for long periods and walk short distances
• Possess the manual dexterity to operate a van safely
• Currently holds a valid Driver's License in state of residency
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be able and willing to smile during every customer interaction
• Maintain uniform standards while around the account
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Driving record must meet company standards
• Ability to successfully pass company issued driving test
• Ability to create relationships with customers
