Job Overview: To provide class instruction and assistance, ensure safety regulations, and enhance service quality.

Create Your Path: The Work You’ll Do:

• Lead water-based exercise classes, guiding participants through various fitness activities in a pool environment. Responsible for creating and implementing safe and effective exercise routines, managing equipment, and ensuring a positive and motivating class experience while complying with established formats and standards. Monitor and record class attendance. Ensure each individual exercises correctly by monitoring with constant circulation.
• Ensure the safety of all participants by consistently reminding members and guests of safety principles relevant to the class and exercises. Monitor equipment placement for stability and security. Ensure operational safety of equipment and report any inoperable or defective items, e.g., stereo, speakers, STEPS.
• Motivate members to maintain a healthy fitness program.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of one national athletic certification, e.g., IDEA, ACE, NETA, AEA
• Preferred: Minimum of six months experience teaching fitness classes
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
• C.P.R. and First Aid Certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
