Health Careers Coordinator role at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Do you enjoy helping students navigate their path to success in Health Career programs? Are you detail-oriented and motivated to support admissions, advising and program operations in a collaborative environment? Kalamazoo Valley Community College is seeking a full-time Health Careers Coordinator to support multiple disciplines within the Health Careers Academy. This position supports Health Career programs by advising students, coordinating admissions and compliance processes, and assisting with recruitment and program operations. Support will be provided from multiple campus locations including the Culinary Allied Health building (CAH) and Texas Township Campus (TTC).

Responsibilities

• Provides academic and program advising to current and prospective students.
• Reviews applications and admits students into Health Career programs by confirming prerequisite coursework and ranking applicants using a point system.
• Supports recruitment efforts and program orientations for Health Career students.
• Manages the distribution of decision letters for Health Career program applicants.
• Coordinates Early Middle College courses within Dental Assisting and EMT Academies.
• Maintains and collects required clinical compliance documentation for students, faculty and clinicians (e.g., physical exams, immunizations, TB tests, background checks and drug screens).
• Maintains cohort spreadsheets and manages student information for clinical compliance and partner hospital systems.
• Provides program support both onsite and offsite as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are required. An example of this would be an Associate degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Physical Demands: Work Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
