Overview

Kalamazoo Valley is seeking an American Sign Language (ASL) tutor to support the ASL classes in one-on-one and small group settings at the Texas Township Campus. Hours include daytime and evening hours.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants must possess a 3.0 grade point average or better in the discipline, have excellent communication skills, and successful completion of FRL 161 (American Sign Language II).
  • Up to date conversational Sign Language is required.
  • Candidates must submit copies of unofficial transcript records or have either written recommendation from his/her instructor or department chairperson.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Native signers are encouraged to apply, but it is not a requirement.

Work Hours

Working 10-20 hours per week Monday - Thursday: 9am-7pm and Friday: 9am-3pm.
