Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Ohio CNA jobs)
BLS certification (required)
Minimum of 1 year of bedside clinical experience in a hospital setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow facility guidelines for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality

Responsibilities

Provide routine patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
Assist with bedside nursing and document care provided
Promote patient and employee safety, focusing on safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard identification
Support menu management for patients, including assembling, delivering, and retrieving menus according to prescribed diets
Assist patients in menu selections, considering dietary restrictions and preferences
Maintain accurate diet orders and menu labeling
Communicate patient care and food service issues to the department
Perform clerical assignments in the Food & Nutrition office as needed
Participate in departmental meetings and in-services
Assist with trayline, food service aides, or catering as required
Adhere to HIPAA and Joint Commission guidelines
