Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification – Tennessee CNA license preferred
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care and clinical support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Assist with bedside nursing, patient documentation, and direct care tasks
• Promote patient safety and adhere to hospital guidelines and infection control protocols
• Support safe patient handling and workplace safety initiatives
• Assist patients with menu selections and dietary needs according to prescribed diets
• Prepare, assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient menus
• Perform clerical assignments in the Food & Nutrition office as needed
• Maintain organization and efficiency of department office
• Attend in-services and departmental meetings
• Assist trayline, food service aides, or catering as needed
• Other duties as assigned
