Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Armed Security Driver to join our team in San Diego. This position is responsible for providing secure and discreet transportation services to high-profile clients while ensuring their safety at all times. The role requires superior situational awareness, rapid decision-making abilities, and the capacity to respond quickly to potential threats. Strict adherence to safety protocols and confidentiality is essential, with a strong focus on defensive driving and client protection during transit.

Shift Information:

Schedules for Armed Security Drivers will depend on client needs and may include:

• Day Shifts: 8 to 12-hour shifts during standard business hours or according to transportation requirements.
• Evening & Night Shifts: Security services may extend into late evening or night hours.
• Overnight Shifts: Assignments requiring continuous or 24-hour protection may involve overnight work.
• On-Call/Reserve: Drivers may be required to be on-call for urgent, last-minute security needs.
• Weekend & Holiday Work: Some client assignments will require coverage during weekends or holidays, depending on the nature of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Armed Security Driver, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and secure transportation of high-profile clients. Key tasks include:

• Safely and discreetly transport clients to and from designated locations while maintaining a visible, professional security presence.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee safety and readiness.
• Monitor the surrounding environment for potential threats during transit and respond appropriately.
• Quickly and effectively address any security incidents or emergencies to protect the client.
• Communicate with clients, security teams, and operational support personnel to ensure smooth coordination.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Provide detailed post-transport reports when required.
• Follow all legal regulations and safety protocols concerning firearms and defensive driving techniques.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the Armed Security Driver position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• 6+ years of military, law enforcement, or armed security experience.
• Valid BSIS Guard Card and BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit.
• Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW/LEOSA/HR218).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to perform security and defensive driving tasks.
• Advanced defensive driving skills and ability to navigate through high-risk situations.
• Excellent situational awareness and decision-making abilities under pressure.
