Overview
Night Replenishment Manager (NRM) at The Home Depot is a member of the store leadership team who oversees freight handling activities. NRMs supervise the freight unload, pack out, and pack down processes. They communicate priorities, ensure nightly tasks are completed, and freight moves smoothly throughout the store. The NRM teaches, coaches, and trains associates on Home Depot policies and procedures and ensures all associates work safely at all times. When needed, NRMs may be the only Manager available and will make business and associate decisions in partnership with appropriate resources and following SOPs. NRMs provide input to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Managers on associates’ performance through ongoing performance management and talent planning discussions. Although the NRM does not have direct reports, they participate in the selection process as needed. Each associate is responsible for providing a safe working environment by following safety policies and standards, completing required safety training, and immediately correcting hazards and unsafe conditions to protect themselves, co-workers, vendors, and customers.
Position may require multiple responsibilities across the shift and collaboration with store leadership to maintain store operations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- People (25%): Provide in-the-moment coaching based on observations and behavior. Partner with Night Operations ASMs on formal performance conversations and discipline. Recognize associates for demonstrating values-based behaviors and productivity. Conduct quality walks of recently completed tasks. Ensure training requirements are completed. Input on associate performance and participate in talent planning for hourly associates. Assist with interview and hiring processes. Approve and address issues such as missed punches, variances, scheduling changes, and call outs. Ensure adherence to store standards and company policies and procedures, holding associates accountable.
- Replenishment (25%): Determine responsibilities with Night Operations ASM to drive efficiencies and overnight productivity. Direct supervision of Unload, Packout, and Purge Packdown processes. Conduct Quality Walks for Packout accuracy. Ensure timely unloading of trucks and trailers and proper packing out or placement of freight in overhead. Maintain store readiness (e.g., cleanup and preparation for Grand Opening) and communicate priorities to associates and leaders.
- Safety (25%): Enforce safety and hazmat procedures and Safety Matters guidelines. Complete required safety training and follow prevention policies. Use and teach proper PPE and lifting techniques. Adhere to safe distances around Lift Equipment and explain policies. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and address unsafe conditions promptly. Ensure store checklists are completed on time and recognize safe behavior.
- Shared Manager On Duty (25%): Perform closing duties and other store-wide focus tasks. Conduct hand-off with the prior MOD, validate daily priorities with ASMs and SMs, and ensure checklists are completed on time. Confirm equipment and machines are functioning and review upcoming events to determine actions needed in partnership with DS or ASM.
