Accounts Payable Manager

NE Portland - Onsite Salary:
$105-120k DOE Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead their AP department. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of all accounts payable transactions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, responsible for managing the daily operations of a mid-sized team, driving process improvements, and embodying the company's core values. Main Responsibilities Lead and manage the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, providing guidance and training to ensure accurate and efficient processing. Oversee all accounts payable transactions, including invoice review, coding, and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy and meet deadlines. Manage the monthly financial close process for Accounts Payable, ensuring the integrity of financial statements and account reconciliations. Analyze and report on financial information, using department metrics and vendor feedback to monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with key stakeholders to streamline processes and manage vendor relationships. Lead and execute strategic projects aimed at improving business processes, implementing system enhancements, and increasing departmental efficiency. Manage all company commercial credit cards, including new card setup, fraud monitoring, and monthly statement review and posting. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the accounts payable system. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 8+ years of experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable and accounting environment. 5+ years in a supervisory or management role. Extensive experience with AP process automation and transformation projects. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly with intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge of GAAP, AP processes and procedures, and internal controls. Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
