About Our Client:

Senior Accountant
to join their team in New York City. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated professional ready to take on a leadership role in the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Month-End Close:
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
General Ledger:
Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration:
Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audits, and collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues.
Mentorship:
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
Analysis:
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance to management.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:
4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of GAAP. Public accounting experience is a plus.
Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables).
Experience with enterprise-level accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $89,000.00- $105,000.00
