in the Schaumburg area to lead their accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of their financial reporting. The
Controller
ensures the accuracy of financial data, supports strategic decision-making, and leads the accounting team to maintain efficient and effective financial processes. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and a strategic mindset. Why work here as a Controller Little turnover Lots of Growth opportunities Strong benefits Friendly environment, family-owned business Great work-life balance Role is open due to growth Ability to work from home (2 days in the office) Responsibilities for the Controller Manage accounting operations: AR/AP, GL, payroll, and financial reporting Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections Lead and mentor accounting staff Collaborate with leadership on strategic financial planning Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors Reconcile monthly Balance Sheet, WIP to general ledger Experience for the Controller Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) 10 years of corporate, public, or a mix 5 years of management Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills #LI-PO1
