This is an exceptional opportunity for a financial leader to join a well-established community bank and play a key role in driving strategic growth, profitability, and operational excellence. As CFO, you'll oversee finance, accounting, investments, and treasury functions while also providing leadership to human resources, IT, and lending operations. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and the board of trustees, helping to shape long- and short-term strategies that safeguard assets, support regulatory compliance, and strengthen the Bank's financial position. Key Responsibilities of the CFO Provide strategic financial leadership to the organization, advising the President/CEO, senior management, and board of trustees on fiscal control, profitability, and risk
Oversee accounting, budgeting, investments, treasury, tax, HR, IT, and lending functions
Direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and regulatory filings
Manage liquidity, asset/liability positions, and the investment portfolio while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Lead the development and implementation of budgets, internal controls, policies, and financial systems to enhance efficiency and transparency
Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and investment advisors
Supervise and mentor department managers and staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure departmental proficiency
Participate in strategic planning initiatives, ensuring alignment between financial operations and organizational goals
Monitor industry and economic trends, recommending prudent courses of action to mitigate risks and seize opportunities
Preferred Qualifications of the CFO Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
7-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience within the banking industry
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and asset/liability management
Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with board members
High ethical standards, strong analytical abilities, and effective planning skills
Technological proficiency with advanced financial and banking software applications
