About the Opportunity for an Interim Controller:
Join a leading manufacturing company during a key period of system implementation and financial planning.
Short-term project engagement offering exposure to cost roll processes, ERP testing, and shop floor financial support.
Collaborative environment where your expertise in manufacturing finance and ERP transitions will make an immediate impact.
Overview of the Interim Controller role:
Budgeting & Forecasting (2 weeks):
Support annual budget cycle using Excel forecasting models based on historical data and build plans.
Standard Cost Roll (Annual Activity):
Conduct labor rate calculations and review current vs. standard costs using Infor.
UAT for Dynamics Go-Live (6 weeks):
Perform User Acceptance Testing with a focus on costing, tracing transactions through to the general ledger, and ensuring system accuracy.
Financial Support of Facilities:
Provide ongoing financial review for two manufacturing plants, one distribution center, and one import inspection facility. Responsibilities include detailed expense analysis, overtime reporting, and preparing presentations for leadership.
Shop Floor Control Support:
Serve as the financial partner for the implementation of Shop Floor Control, analyzing the GL impact of shop floor activities and ensuring accurate transactional reporting.
Preferred Qualifications for the Interim Controller role:
Proven experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and Infor (cost roll, labor rate calculations).
Strong analytical and Excel skills with the ability to dig into details of spend and provide actionable insights.
Experience supporting system implementations, UAT, and shop floor reporting.
Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operations leaders.
Salary:
$105,000-$160,000 annually (based on experience)
