Key Responsibilities of Accountant and Payroll Associate: Lead Core Accounting Functions:
Maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations (bank, investment, credit card), and prepare audit schedules, reports, and filings.
Manage Payroll Operations:
Process salaried payroll using ADP, review inputs/deductions, and ensure compliance.
Support Investment & Accounts Receivable:
Track investment income, reconcile accounts, and maintain advisor/custodian schedules.
Ensure Compliance:
Apply GAAP standards, strengthen internal controls, and prepare for audits.
Improve Processes:
Streamline workflows and digitize financial records for greater efficiency.
Collaborate Across Teams:
Partner with HR, Development, and Operations for accurate, timely reporting.
Key Qualifications of Accountant and Payroll Associate:
3+ years of nonprofit or mission-driven accounting experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ADP, with strong GAAP knowledge.
Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and integrity when handling sensitive data.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
