Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and compassionate patient care experience. This full-time position offers a unique 4/10 work schedule and a $1,500 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment.
Job Summary
As an integral member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your license, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate patient flow to optimize clinic operations. You will communicate effectively with patients, providers, and coworkers to maintain a positive and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient care tasks and carry out provider orders accurately and timely. Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation. Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to legal guidelines. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records. Coordinate referrals and communicate with referral coordinators to ensure timely processing. Manage exam room supplies, medication samples, and maintain cleanliness and infection control standards. Participate in special projects and support a collaborative team environment. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program. Licenses and Certifications
Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques. Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and perform independent judgment in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to teamwork, adaptability, and fostering a positive work culture.
Work Environment
This role is based in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest, offering access to a variety of outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, and nature viewing. The position includes a 40-hour workweek with 10-hour shifts.
