Receptionist
We're seeking a professional and welcoming Receptionist to join a high-impact Workplace Experience team. This role serves as the first point of contact for hundreds of daily visitors and employees, helping create a positive and secure environment across multiple office locations. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, people-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven setting.
Reception & Guest Services
- Greet and check in visitors and employees with warmth and professionalism
- Issue badges, manage lobby amenities, and support office tours
- Maintain lobby cleanliness and appearance
- Provide local information and general support to guests
- Direct vendors and service providers appropriately
Administrative & Operational Support
- Use tools like G Suite, Slack, and Jira to manage requests and communications
- Track and fulfill workplace tickets and help center inquiries
- Order and organize supplies for reception and shared spaces
- Support mail distribution, shipping/receiving, and lost-and-found logging
- Conduct daily walkthroughs and report facility issues
Event & Community Space Support
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and clean-up for meetings and events
- Coordinate with facilities and events teams for logistics and vendor access
- Provide ad-hoc support for programs and cross-site coverage
Team Collaboration
- Work as part of a coordinated reception team across multiple locations
- Float between offices to support coverage gaps and peak activity
- Adapt to different team dynamics and operational needs
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Uphold company policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
- 2+ years in a customer-facing role (reception, hospitality, or service)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with G Suite, Slack, Jira, and comfortable learning new tools
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Experience in security or access control is a plus
- Familiarity with nonprofit, government, or research environments is helpful
