13 weeks Guaranteed Hours:
36 per week Shift:
Nights (7p-7a), Rotating Holidays, Every Other Weekend Shift Length:
12-hour rotating shifts Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active RN license in Massachusetts Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care hospital (within last 2 years) Current BLS and ACLS certifications Telemetry nursing experience required Must pass CCHC Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia Exams prior to start Strong communication and computerized nursing informatics skills Preferred: BSN, experience with cardiac patients, and additional specialty certifications (Oncology, Dialysis, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac Cath, Chemotherapy, CAPD) RN Responsibilities - Med/Surg Telemetry
Provide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Administer medications and monitor patient responses Document assessments and care plans, including physical, psychological, and social aspects Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education Demonstrate charge nurse proficiency and expertise in nursing informatics Participate in hospital quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Maintain confidentiality and uphold hospital standards Float to various units as needed: Cardiac, Oncology, Surgical, Dialysis, Ortho, Neuro, Post-Op Engage in ongoing professional development and nursing committees
