Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support the Human Resources department with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, detail oriented and a passion for supporting people and processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of HR services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Support daily operations of the HR department across various functions
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (both digital and physical)

Update and manage HR databases (e.g., new hires, terminations, leaves of absence)

Assist with payroll preparation by verifying attendance, leave, and overtime data
-
Coordinate and schedule interviews, meetings, and internal HR events
-
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
-
Support the administration of compensation programs (bonuses, incentives, allowances)

Maintain compensation data and ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements
-
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and general inquiries
-
Contribute to compensation benchmarking and market data analysis

Help manage employee recognition and rewards initiatives
-
Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures
-
Assist with training coordination, learning & development initiatives, and performance review cycles

Ensure the proper handling of sensitive and confidential information
Qualifications:
-
Experience as an HR Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or in a similar support role
-
Familiarity with HR functions, procedures, and best practices
-
Basic understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures is an asset

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is a plus

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
