Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on a Women's Care Unit, requiring LDRP skills and certification in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
Responsibilities Work on an 18-bed Women's Care Unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 Floating may be required to Labor and Delivery and Obstetrics Acute units Uses EPIC and OBIX for charting, pyxis for medication management, and Stork documentation system Duties include electronic fetal monitoring, obstetric assessments, medication administration, specimen collection, assisting with exams, and newborn care One day of orientation is provided, with additional orientation available as needed Scrubs are the required dress code Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted
Requirements Active RN license required Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Minimum of 2 years recent obstetrics experience including LDRP Proficiency in scalp electrode placement, electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) interpretation, baby care, and cervical assessments
