Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum position requiring LDRP skills and at least 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities Work in a hospital setting with 2 triage rooms, 4 LDRs, 9 Mother Baby beds, and a C-section suite Care for LDRP, postpartum, and GYN surgical patients, including newborns Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines Uses EMR: Epic, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, Phillips monitors, Panda Warmer, and GE/OBIX central monitoring Required to float to multiple regional facilities within scope of practice Weekend rotation is every other weekend No on-call responsibilities for travelers Expected to work 75% of holidays Responsibilities include comprehensive care for laboring, postpartum, and surgical OB patients, as well as newborn assessments and procedures Support team includes OB Surg Tech, receptionist/unit secretary, charge nurse, case manager, RT, 24/7 OB physician and pediatrician Departmental and facility orientation provided (2 days departmental, NEO) RTO (time off) up to 6 days off is allowable, excluding holidays Navy blue scrubs or hospital-issued scrubs required Free parking is available
Requirements Active NC or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP nursing experience Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and NRP Must have experience with all aspects of LDRP patient care, circulating C-sections, newborn care including resuscitation (NRP), NAS scoring, and lactation support Epic EMR experience preferred First-time travelers will not be considered Must live at least 50 miles from primary work location
