Pay Information $2,686 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Women's Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: LDRP experience Description: General job duties include performing labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. Candidates must complete electronic fetal monitoring. Obstetrics-focused assessments are required. Passing medications and specimen collection are part of the responsibilities. Assisting with patient exams, including cervical checks and baby care, is expected. The unit utilizes EPIC for computerized charting, along with OBIX and pyxis for medication management. Required skills include scalp electrode placement, baby care, interpreting electronic fetal monitoring, and cervical checks. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. Shifts will typically be from 1900 to 0730. Floating to other units may be required, specifically in Labor and Delivery and Obstetrics Acute care. The unit has 188 beds with a nursing-only patient ratio of 1:4. The dress code is scrubs. Training and orientation may involve up to 1 day or more as needed.
