What will I do as the Director of Nursing?
The primary purpose of this role is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department for 100 skilled nursing beds and 20 assisted living beds.
Will work with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure that the highest degree of quality care in maintained and consistently model and demonstrate excellence in customer service, with a constant focus on person-centered care delivery.
Develops and maintains nursing policies, procedures, objectives and practice standards. Develops positive relationships and is accessible to all residents, families, visitors and team members. Promotes and supports the culture of patient centered care and service. Prepares schedules within budgetary guidelines and ensures; assists with budget process. Acts as a catalyst for quality improvement. Performs daily rounding on residents and team members. Remains compliant with all federal, state, local and corporate regulations. Responsible for the Comprehensive Resident Assessment and Interdisciplinary Plan of Care process. Participates in talent acquisition process, training, supervision and corrective action for nursing team. Evaluates job performance and reviews peer evaluations for assigned team members. Participate in preparation of nursing schedules to assure adequate staffing and quality care. Conducts regular team meetings for all shifts. Maintains accurate resident census reports. Qualifications:
Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. B.S.N. or M.S.N. required. Active CPR required and obtained from American Heart or Red Cross Program.
