Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Location: Downtown Indianapolis

Salary: 100,000 to 110,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Monitor policies and procedures for assigned departments and identify and suggest improvements for accounting reporting and recording procedures.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and maintaining compliance.
  • Continue ongoing education by participating in webinars and workshops.
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
  • Oversee and support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts.
  • Maintain efficient General Ledger accounting and Procure-to-Pay systems. Develop and maintain key relationships with business partners and outside vendors. Provide financial perspective and advice to management team.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory experience.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Strong financial and general ledger accounting knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills.
