Accounting Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join their team at a leading trucking company. This role will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations, with a focus on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Billing. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage Accounts Receivable including invoicing, collections, and payment application.


• Oversee Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor management, and timely payments.


• Prepare and issue accurate billing statements in compliance with company policies and customer agreements.


• Reconcile accounts, research discrepancies, and ensure accuracy of financial data.


• Support month-end close activities, reporting, and audits as needed.


• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth accounting operations and resolve any issues promptly.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping; industry experience in transportation or logistics a plus.


• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Billing functions.


• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.


• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; ERP system experience preferred.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
