The Clinton Township School District seeks an exceptional leader and communicator with a commitment to managing a highly effective financial and operational environment to serve as the School Business Administrator/ Board Secretary. The District has four (4) buildings and serves approximately 1200 students in grades PreK-8 in three (3) of the buildings. The District seeks a leader with a solid understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code, and GAAP requirements. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail and a strong desire to create a long-term, sustainable fiscal plan that improves efficiency to best support students.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree required from an accredited college, preferably in Business or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Standard New Jersey School Business Administrator certificate required
  • 3-5 years of experience in a New Jersey school district as a School Business Administrator required
  • Qualified Purchasing Agent preferred
  • A thorough understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles established by the GASB, school budget preparation and internal control systems
  • A thorough understanding of federal regulations for administration of federal grant programs, experience with grant writing and/or grant implementation a plus
  • Knowledge of accepted business practices in school districts related to budget preparation and administration, risk management, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, transportation, and food services.
  • Experience with school plant operations, construction, facility planning, custodial and maintenance services preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic databases, spreadsheets, and other technologies related to efficient business office operations
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills needed
  • Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
  • Candidates with CPA license will be given priority

Salary range $150,000 - $160,000
Salary commensurate with experience and subject to approval by the Hunterdon County Executive Superintendent of Schools, the CTSD Superintendent of Schools, and the CTSD Board of Education.
