Under the general direction of Director, Continuous Improvement, leads the continuous improvement effort in the Investment Casting business, supporting the aerospace, automotive and industrial business markets, includes facilitating cross-functional teams utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles will improve turnaround times, Velocity, TOC practices and reduce costs. Projects are moderately complex and not limited in scope, depth, problem solving, and degree of skill required.
Prime Responsibilities and Major Factors in Evaluating Performance:
1. Work in collaboration with site leadership to identify and improve those areas most important to the site and Hitchiner.
2. Assists in the development of new processes and trains team members.
3. Assists in the development improvement strategies, deploys, and manages same.
4. Coordinate, lead and execute improvement projects and initiatives to achieve business needs and objectives.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Performing other related tasks in the facility, as needed.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in a Business Management or Industrial Engineering
2. Minimum of 1 years' experience utilizing strong analytical skills including statistical methods, financial analysis, or engineering modeling and analysis.
3. Training and experience using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles and practices ideally in the Aerospace, Automotive, High Volume Manufacturing Processes.
4. Experience in successful deployment of Lean and Si Sigma, including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen facilitation, Cellular Flow, Single-Minute Exchange of Dies, Process Flow Mapping, Kanban, Hoshin, Visual Controls, etc.
5. Good interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
6. Significant computer related skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, etc.)
7. Ability to engage others in facilitate consensus, obtain buy-in of senior leadership and drive for successful adoption of change initiatives.
8. A track record of continuous improvement efforts with proven successful sustained outcomes
