Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a MA RN license and expertise in caring for advanced cardiac patients.
Responsibilities Position located in a critical care unit focusing on heart and vascular patients 30-bed unit with 23 beds dedicated to medical and surgical cardiac patients and surgical intensive care Patient population includes STEMI, cardiac arrest, heart failure, and post-cardiac surgery cases including CABG, valve repair or replacement, and TAVR Manages advanced cardiovascular and critical care devices such as IABP, Impella CP/5.5, Heartmate 2/3 LVAD, RVAD, ECMO, and CRRT Ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:2 depending on patient acuity Expected to float to Intermediate Care (IMC) units as needed Night shift, 12-hour shifts Care for complex cardiac and surgical ICU patients using advanced medical technologies Unit performs approximately four open-heart surgeries daily Team-oriented environment with support for device competencies Will need to provide references, license verification, application, and copies of all active certifications for consideration
Requirements Active MA RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required CCRN certification preferred but not required 3-5 years of critical care nursing experience preferred Competency with advanced cardiovascular devices preferred Experience caring for surgical cardiac and critical care patients preferred
